Follow-up With Buyers

After all the preparation, painting and touch-ups, you finally have your home on the market, now what?

Showings! Buyers who are interested will book an appointment to view your property. A very common complaint from Sellers who have listed with other agents say “We never hear from our agent. The paperwork was signed and he/she had disappeared!” Miraculously, the agent shows up when an offer comes in! This is the wrong approach.

A good agent will follow-up with those buyers and agents who viewed your property. It’s important for Sellers to know what potential buyers thought of the property. Is it overpriced? Too messy? Too smelly? These are all things that affect the sale of the property. Active buyers tend to be a great resource for feedback, as they have typically viewed other homes in a similar price range. Although, it’s always good to take feedback with a grain of salt, some buyers can be overly picky.

I understand how stressful selling a home can be. Frequent communication between agent and client can help to reduce the stress associated with the process. I can communicate with you in any way you desire, whether it be text, call or email. During your listing period, you can elect to receive up-to-date information about other similar properties that have been listed or sold in your neighbourhood. This is an excellent way to measure how your listing compares to others. If several similarly priced listings have sold before yours, we can evaluate why.

I will also provide up-to-date information on how many times your listing has been viewed and favourited online. If lots of buyers are viewing the listing, but no showings are being booked, that can mean the price is not quite right.
